Why Prince Yadav?
Prince Yadav’s inclusion is far from arbitrary. During the IPL 2026 season, he stood out as the most successful Indian fast bowler for the Lucknow-based franchise. His stats tell a compelling story: 16 wickets at an impressive average of under 19. Furthermore, his economy rate of just over eight runs per over is particularly notable given the batting-friendly nature of many pitches throughout the tournament.
Perhaps his most defining moment of the season came against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Prince managed to dismiss Virat Kohli for a duck, becoming the first bowler since Dhawal Kulkarni in 2016 to achieve such a feat against the batting maestro in the IPL. He concluded that match with three crucial wickets, proving he has the temperament to perform against the world’s best.
His consistency extends beyond the T20 format. Earlier in the season, he claimed 18 wickets in eight matches during the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Delhi.
